Creamy avocado spread

Creamy avocado spread – gluten free, grain free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, clean and paleo friendly.

Day 5 of condiments, sauces and dips.

I love avocados but they tend to brown quickly. I’ve made guacamole many times whereby the lemon juice is simply stirred through and if not eaten straight away, it turns brown that day. However, I’ve found when avocado is blitzed properly with lemon juice in a food processor or blender, the browning is delayed considerably – by days.

This is such a simple recipe and it’s great to slather on burgers, sandwiches or my favourite: smear on toast then add a sprinkling of cumin powder and a few grinds of cracked black pepper on top. Yum!

How to store avocados

If your avocados aren’t ripe enough,  it’s fine to store them on the counter top until they’re ripe enough. Once ready, place them in a plastic bag in the fridge to halt the ripening process where they will last another 3 – 5 days.

Why this is so good for you
